Foster Aboriginal Development
1. Increase Tourism
Opportunities for tourism in the region abound. These include enticing the 'passing tourist traffic' to stop, promoting the region's natural assets and giving the region a separate identity as 'Anmatjere'.

- Product development and marketing plan including: tourism signage; camping facilities; pastoral,
- Keeping up appearances (a tidy and inviting environment)

2. Expand Pastoral and Horticulture
The pastoral industry is well established and will continue to be a major local economic force, has enormous potential for expansion.

3. Improve Infrastructure
Adequate infrastructure both underpins economic development and improves the quality of life for residents. Through the Anmatjere Masterplan, the ongoing provision of additional infrastructure in the region will be planned and coordinated.

4. Foster Social Harmony
As a community, the people in the Anmatjere region recognise that the Masterplan will only be achieved through working together.

5. Expand Regional Employment and Training
Established industries in the region, such as pastoralism, and new or growing industries, such as tourism and horticulture, require access to appropriately skilled labour. These industries will provide jobs for people living in the region.

- Industry and Government training partnerships (horticulture, tourism, education, pastoral, business)
- Training centres identified

6. Develop Ti Tree Township as a Regional Centre
The township of Ti Tree will become the focal point for the region over the next ten years - a place where people meet and are entertained and where industry sources many of its goods and services.

- Create a hub for services
- Agri-business sub-agencies
- Information/Tourism Centre (see also Goal 4 - History/Cultural Centre)
- Additional retail outlets

7. Foster Aboriginal Development
Aboriginal people will be integral to the success of the Masterplan. With appropriate training and access to business partnerships, Aboriginal people can make significant economic advances.
